We're excited to announce the launch of our 2026 footy tipping competition! Join us for another season of excitement, weekly prizes, and friendly competition with fellow Capital Tigers supporters.

Entry fee: $50, which can be paid via cash or bank transfer.
Payment deadline: Round 5Total prize pool: $250 for the seasonPrize Structure
Weekly prizes: $10 for most correct picks each round. If there's a tie, the prize money rolls over to the next week's jackpot until a single participant has the most correct picks. If the final round is tied, the jackpot is split evenly among winners.
Knockout competition: $50 prize for the last person standingFirst place: Special prize to be determined (previous years have featured signed footballs)All prizes are distributed at the end-of-season AGM.Weekly Tipping Rules
Submit your tips up to 5 minutes before each game starts. If you forget to tip a game, it will result in zero points for that match once the first bounce occurs.
If you miss an entire round, you'll receive the lowest round score from that week. For example, if the lowest score was 4 correct tips, you'd receive those 4 points.Can't access the app while travelling? Message the admin and they can manually place tips on your behalf.Margin Tipping System
For the first game of each round, you'll predict the winning margin for your chosen team. Your margin score is calculated as the difference between your prediction and the actual result.
Example: Round 1 is Tigers vs Carlton. You tip Tigers to win by 4 points. If Tigers win by 6 points, your margin score is 2 (6 - 4 = 2). If Carlton wins by 6 points instead, your margin score is 10 (a 10-point difference from your prediction).Important: Margin scores are used as a tiebreaker to determine season placings, especially for first place. The margin does not affect weekly prize winners - only overall season rankings.Bonus Points and Joker Round
Perfect rounds (getting all tips correct) earn a bonus point, except for bye rounds and the opening round. Rounds with only 8 matches (such as Round 2) do include the bonus point opportunity.
You can use your joker round once per season to double your points for all correct tips. Don't waste it on bye rounds or rounds with only 8 teams playing. If you haven't used your joker by Round 24, the admin will automatically apply it to that final round.Note: Joker rounds don't affect the weekly $10 prize - that's still based on most correct picks only.Knockout Competition
Each round, pick one team you're confident will win. If your team wins, you advance to the next round. The last person standing wins $50.
If all remaining players are knocked out in the same round, they're all automatically reinstated into the knockout competition and continue playing.Late Entries Welcome
New participants can join after the season starts. Late entries will receive the lowest recorded score for all missed rounds, plus a small penalty applied to their margin score. Contact the administrator for specific details if you're joining mid-season.
Updates and Communication
Competition updates will be posted in the app's message section throughout the season. We prefer word-of-mouth recruitment over social media posts to ensure we have committed participants who will pay their entry fees and actively participate.
